The project aims to provide a recreational and social space to the visitors of Kaziranga National Park to enhance their experience and make their stay a more welcoming & luxurious one. It includes designing of 4 major components: Admin Block, Children’s Park, Guest House, Glass Polyhouse & Greenhouse, Cafetaria, Amphitheater, Bus Stand & Public Toilet.
Facilities designed as a part of this project can be categorized as supportive structures but rather they are proposed to be structured in a way that it enhances social interaction, experiential value & comfort for visitors as well as the staff. This potential inclusion would complement the public influx & hence its monetary value. Aesthetics are proposed keeping in mind the color palette of existing structures, moreover to maintain coherence between the built & the un-built. Children’s Park is surrounded by an Amphitheater, Glass Polyhouse housing orchids & small stalls for shopping purposes. A bridge is proposed leading to an interpretation center followed by Greenhouses. Addition of public services like Bus Stand & Public Toilets improves accessibility & comfort. Cafeteria is a place for individuals to pause for a while and enjoy the calmness of the serene forest & witness the wildlife in its purely natural form.
